Wix site speed test: the same website on Wix and on our platform
We took a real Wix website, www.911vicious.com, and rebuilt it word for word and photo for photo on our platform: same text, the same 61 photos and video, the same layout and scroll-in animations. Then we ran Google's own speed test, Lighthouse, on both. On a phone the home page scored 46 on Wix and 86 on ours; the photo gallery 42 and 95.
For a webmaster, this is the part of the pitch a business owner can check for themselves, in a minute, on their own phone.
Four tests, four wins
Lighthouse scores a page from 0 to 100 for speed. The biggest gap is on phones.
The main picture appears 2 to 4 times sooner
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) is the moment the biggest thing on the screen, usually the main photo, has loaded. Google calls an LCP within 2.5 seconds "good" (web.dev, Web Vitals). On a phone, the Wix pages took 5.7 and 7.8 seconds; ours took 2.6 and 1.9.
The phone also stays responsive: Wix's home page kept the phone's processor busy ("Total Blocking Time") for 3.0 seconds while loading; ours for 0.2 seconds.
Less to download, nothing extra to run
To show the same home page, Wix sent the phone 201 files, including 759 KB of JavaScript (the code a phone has to run before the page is usable). Our platform sent 24 files and 58 KB of JavaScript: everything the site does, the gallery, the contact form and the app, is built in rather than added as separate scripts and plug-ins.
What this means for a webmaster
- A pitch the owner can check. Open PageSpeed Insights with the business owner, test their current site, then test a demo from our Demo Gallery. No sales talk needed.
- Search. Google recommends good Core Web Vitals "for success with Search" and says they align with what its core ranking systems seek to reward (Google Search Central).
- Less work for you. The speed comes from the platform itself, not from tuning: there are no plug-ins to pick, install, update or slim down on each site you look after.
Where Wix did better, and what was equal
Of 48 measurements, our platform did better in 35, Wix in 1 and 12 were equal. Wix's one win: the home page's Speed Index on a phone (Wix 3.5 s, ours 4.6 s), a measure of how quickly the visible area fills in while loading. Both sites scored 100 for Best Practices and SEO, and neither page shifted around while loading (Cumulative Layout Shift 0.00 on both).
How it was measured
- Tool: Google Lighthouse 12.8.2 (the test behind PageSpeed Insights), on 7 November 2026, on one Windows computer and one network, the two sites one after the other.
- Phone: Lighthouse's standard mobile test (a mid-range phone on a slow 4G connection, simulated). Desktop: Lighthouse's desktop setting.
- Each page was tested 3 times on each device; every number here is the middle result (the median). Pages: the home page and the gallery.
- On our copy the gallery shows small copies of each photo and the full photo when clicked, as Wix's gallery does.
- The sites: the original www.911vicious.com (Wix) and our copy, vicious-911.lpk7.com. Full tables: the complete speed test.
- Scores move a few points between runs and computers. Run the same test yourself on PageSpeed Insights.
